美しい胸とはどういったものでしょうか？綺麗な胸とは、垂れておらず、皮膚の張りがあり、豊かなふくらみをもった胸です。アメリカでは大きな胸が好まれる傾向にあります。今日では、豊胸術は美容外科での非常に一般的な手術となりました。生理食塩水バックにしろシリコンバックにしろ、表面がザラついたバックはマッサージが不要という点で優れており、多く使用されるようになってきました。胸の大きさや形を決めるに当たって、手術前および手術中に注意すべきいくつかの点があります。手術前に大きさを予測して正確に決めてしまうことはできません。なぜならば手術前に大きさを予想すること自体無理があるからです。もしかりに、手術を受けられる方が胸の大きさの点で満足されたとしても、形が不自然であったり、見た目にどことなく美しい胸とは言えないということが生じることがあります。従って、豊胸術で最も良い結果が得られる方法とは、手術中に形や柔らかさを考慮して最終的に大きさを決めることです。

上下眼瞼の美容整形手術にはいくつかの重要な点があります。若々しい印象を出すために、顔の中で最も大切な部位は目や上下眼瞼です。誰もが切ったりする 手術を望まないというのは当然のことです。切る手術は腫れを生じるばかりでなく、傷跡も残ってしまいます。若い女性は、目が大きく見えるといった印象を好 みます。一重よりも二重が見た目に美しく魅力的と一般的には考えられています。たとえ眼瞼下垂でないと診断されても、黒目がちで目が大きく見えるために、 手術を受けられる方もあります。下眼瞼が手術によって改善されれば、顔の印象は非常に大きく変化します。下眼瞼のふくらみが少しあるだけでも実際の年齢よ りも老けて見えたり、疲れた印象になったりします。下眼瞼の美容整形手術は、そのような下瞼のふくらみを持った方には特に効果があります。
今回の学会発表の時に､豊胸手術と上下眼瞼の美容整形の具体的な手術手技の要点について説明していきます。

Breast augmentation has become very common in cosmetic surgery. The rough type of the envelope in both saline and silicone prostheses is more popular than the smooth type for its convenience i.e., useless in massages. We need to pay attention to some points prior to the operation and during the operation to decide the size and shape of the breast. The size of the breast cannot be determined precisely before the operation because it is difficult for the patient to predict the size. Even if the patient is satisfied with the size, the shape is artificial and not beautiful. Therefore the best way for getting good results in breast augmentation surgery is to choose the most suitable prosthesis during the operation.

There are some important points in blepharoplasty. One of the most important regions of the face for looking young is the eyes and eyelids. It is natural that patients do not want operations with skin incisions. An operation with skin incision is always accompanied with not only swelling but also scars. Young women desire that their eyes appear to be large. Double eyelids are thought to be more beautiful and charming than single eyelids. Patients sometimes need to have an operation for ptosis in the eyelids so that their eyes appear to be large, even if they are not diagnosed with eyelids ptosis. The improvement in the lower eyelids will significantly change the appearance. Even slightly baggy eyelids makes a woman appear to be older and more tired than she really is. Blepharoplasty in the lower eyelids have been performed on patients with baggy eyelids.
Operative techniques about cosmetic surgery especially about breast augmentation and blephroplasty will be presented at the conference.
